The
Mortuary:
2nd Level (Map):
You
awake in the Preparation Room of the Mortuary. Morte, the talking skull joins
the party and gives you first advices how to be able to leave this area. You
have to get a key from one of the zombies there. And you shall find your journal.
Further information you can get from a man named Pharod. Search the tables
for a scalpel, your first weapon. Then slitter the zombies there, get the
bandages and the key. Open the west gate and proceed. Here you can find a
better weapon, Fist Irons. One zombie there has bandages, another one has
a note inside his mouth. With the help of the scalpel you can get it (250XP).
You can fold it too, but I didn't figure out how, perhaps later. Proceed and
talk to Dhall, a scribe. He tells you that someone in the Hive could know
where Pharod is, and that a friend of yours in a former life lies inside the
memorial hall a level below. Before you talk to the people in Planescape Torment,
save your game. Often the right questions/answers lead to XP's while the other
topics lead to nothing or even a fight. This seems to be a game where the
word is a lot mightier than the sword. Grab 'Revenant' if you like to play
an undead character who prefers solving the game by slaying and ravaging (but
I only got a german walkthrough for that one). I play a kind of 'chaotic good'
style, so depending on your alignment and your resulting actions the invoking/solving
of some plots may differ from mine.
Proceed and get 100XP for removing a needle from a corpse inside north-east
Preparation Room. Talk to Ei-Vene, she wants a needle with thread and embalming
fluid. Talk to everybody in here, you often can manipulate the corpses to
get items/informations. If you encounter Dustman asking for your reason to
be there, just tell them that you want to ask Dhall some questions and they'll
let you go.
Talk to the zombi anarchist (I lied). He'll help you getting out of there
when you bring him a key from Ei-Vene. Get the left arm of a zombi somewhere
here. Next room holds Jars of Embalming Fluid and a locked container that
we keep in mind. But first proceed to...
3rd Level (Map):
Get the items here and rip the bolts from the skeleton's joints. When you
got the Iron Prybar, open the locked containers. Proceed to the west, a shelf
beneath the locked gate there holds the Mortuary Sanctum Key. Get 250XP by
using the ancient earring you will have found inside the locked container
at the 2nd Level, where we return after clearing Level 3.
2nd Level again:
Now we'll let it rain XPs. 250Xp by watching Ei-Vene's hands, you'll gain
memory. Another 250XP for giving the needle and fluid to Ei-Vene.
Then increase MaxHP by letting her stitching up your scars. Next 250XP for
asking for the key. Unlock the doors to the stairs here and loot the southern
room. Then return to the false zombi inside the south-east room and hand him
the ley for another 250XP. He mentions that, to get out of the Mortuary, you
have to step through an arch on the 1st floor. You'll need a fungus-bone,
shape of crook. Ask more questions and get the last 250XP. Now we'll head
for...
1st Level (Map):
When you approach the sarcophargus at the North-West Memorial Hall, the spirit
of Deionarra, your former love, appears. Get 500XP for carefully asking for
a way out. Then head to Central Chamber. If you already found the 'Tome of
Bone and Ash' you can investigate the Giant Skeletons and carefully remove
the spells from them. Each is worth 800XP. Now you finally should level up.
Save before pressing 'Level Up'-button on the statistics-screen. You'll randomly
get between 1-10HP, so don't waste valuable points by hurry.
When finished your business here, leave through the portal north-west. I don't
know what item is the key, but if you looted everything you should have it.
You have to cross a little tomb to arrive at...
The North-East Portion of the Hive (Map):
Get 1000XP for trying to talk to the Dabus south. Enter Angyar's house there
and only carefully talk to his wife, who wishes to undo the death contract
that her husband signed to get some coins from Dustman 'Gravesend'. Go west,
talk to a Harlot and get 250XP for asking about Pharod. Pry out the cobblestone
from the zombie in front of the 'Gathering Dust Bar' to get 250XP again. Talk
to Ingress who is looking for the proper portal to leave that plane. Talk
to the other townspeople there and kill some agressive thugs. Sev-Tai at the
monument wants you to kill three members of a 'gang' who killed her three
sisters. And there is Annah, a player character, I still can't figure out
how to convince her joining the party.
Okay, go inside the 'Gathering Dust Bar' now. Talk to Norochj to get a quest
to investigate the Mausoleum. Talk to 'Awaiting Death' and convince him (by
showing 'it') to stay alive (500XP), support the doubts of Sere to get another
500XP. Next 500XP for getting the contract from 'Gravesend'. 'Emoric' wants
you to investigate the source of the corpses Pharod collects.
Now head back to Angyar and tear the contract in front of him for free to
get 750XP. Another 500XP you get by asking where to find Pharod. Now I'll
step inside...
The South-East Portion of the Hive (Map):
Talk to the drunken Harlot and watch her stealing from you
to get 1000XP. South-East here are some of that 'Starved Dog Barking Thugs'
that you should kill for Sev-Tai at the monument. Get 500XP for helping 'Mourns-for-Trees'
taking care for the dying trees. If you return to Sev-Tai after killing three
'barkers' you'll get another 250XP and a copper earring. Now head back for
the 'Smoldering Corpse Bar'. Barkis, the barkeeper there, has our second eye-ball
and the task of convincing Mortai to pay her debts. If we lend her 100 coins
and return to Barkis we'll get 1000XP. Dak'kon, a githzerai fighter/mage joins
the party here. Talk to all the people here, especially to Candrian who will
help Ingress leaving this plane. Return to Ingress at the monument north-east
sector, and then return to Candrian to get 750XP and Ingress' Teeth, a weapon
for Morte. By using you can change crushing damage to piercing damage. In
the north-eastern sector you'll meet Baen the Sender who wants you to deliver
a message to a giant-like overseer named Craddock. Now, Dak'kon with us, we
can go to the north-east sector again and investigate the...
The Mausoleum (Map):
Proceed to the Inner Chamber and kill Strahan Runeshadow there,
take the skull from the usable section of the floor. When leaving the chamber
you'll get 2000XP from the guardian spirit. Return to Norochj in the 'Gathering
Dust Bar' in the north-east sector to receive 200 copper and 1000XP. Now we
enter a new area...
The North-West Portion of the Hive (Map):
Talk to Porphiron here who wants back his rope that three thieves stole who
hang around in front of the 'Smoldering Corpse Bar'. Go there, bluff 'em and
collect 500XP, 250XP for further bluffing ('curses') and finally 1000XP from
Porphiron after returning his rope. If you like to walk the way of the fighter,
Porphiron teaches weapon-skills. Let Fleece there rob you again and watch
him for 1000XP. Mar wants you to deliver a box to Ku'atraa. Talk to Nestor
in the Flophouse who needs his fork from 'One Ear' who is lurking outside
a bit north-east. Returning the fork is worth 500XP. Ku'atraa doesn't want
the box and wishes that you deliver it to Brasken in the south-west, but grants
you 250XP. Okay, all done here, let's head for...
The South-West Portion of the Hive (Map):
Talk to Ash-Mantle who seems not to be a real Dustman. Creeden sells different
rats in front of the Office for Vermin and Disease Control where you can rest
inside. Suggest to carve the name of 'Es-Annon' inside the monument for the
'Crier of Es-Annon'. Get 250XP for going to Brasken's Kip and being sent to
Shilandra's Kip, where Brasken once had the box got from. Some merchants are
at the marketplace and you'll meet Craddock who needs you to fetch Jelai,
one of his workers, from the area at Smoldering Corpse Bar. Reekwind has a
lot of information for some copper. Get 250XP by finding Jelai who doesn't
wish to work for Craddock any more. Now visit the monument again and let 'Death-of-Names'
carve the name 'Es-Annon' inside, 500XP. Visit Shilandra again now who grants
250XP and tells us of someone in a cathedral at the Alley of Dangerous Angles
who could help us with that box. First we return to Craddock, lie, and earn
500XP and 30 copper for the work. Another 500XP for talking to the 'Crier'
after having the name carved. Now proceed to...
The Alley of Dangerous Angles (Map):
... that is split between two rival gangs. Depending on your game-style you
could chose between killing 'RottenWilliam', the leader of the 'murderer'-gang
or killing 'Krystall', the leader of the 'thugs'-gang, kill both or none.
I decided to kill William and receive 1500XP from Krystall. Talk to 'Blackrose'
before killing William (or Krystall?) to get 1500XP from him too, then kill
him for another 1500XP from Krystall (William?). This is a plot where it really
depends on your personal style. Please tell me about other ways to solve this,
perhaps you can make more XP's out of it by killing both/none?
'Rank' inside the Burnt Building wants three rings that you can gather from
the three tents of the area. Return them to him and watch a Lim-Lim kicking
butt, hehe. Be sure to loot the remains. Then go to Aola inside the Ruined
Cathedral and give him that box for 1000XP.
Now return to 'Baen the Sender' at north-east sector to get 500XP for delivering
the message. Then head for south-east sector to receive another 500XP from
'Mourns-for-Trees' for convincing Dak'kon to help too and look for some nice
tattoos at Fell's there. Then back to the north-west and talk to Mar hiding
in the little building north-west, get 1250 XP and a 'Hollow Axe'. Now it's
finally time to go back to the roots of our tasks and proceed to...
Ragpicker's Square (Map):
Talk to 'Marrow-Friend', take the Bone-Finger and attach it to your hand to
get the (cursed) ring. If you like, become (only) a thief by training with
'Ratbone'. 'Nodd' wishes that we tell Amarysse that he worries about her.
Sharegrave wants to know about Pharod's business too. If you enter the portal
to the north you'll meet Vlask. Now head for the north-eastern portal and
go to...
Trash Warrens (Map):
Here you can kill some rats by entering the portal north-east. Proceed south-east
to the...
Buried Village (Map):
Quint wants you to bring back his Poison Charm that 'Gris the Vulture' took
to the catacombs. From there too Uhirs wants back his Lucky Knife. Ku'u Yin
wants back his name and number from Radine, who is here too. Convince her
to guve back the name and number and get 2500XP by returning to Ku'u Yin afterwards.
Visit Marta and let her check your intestines to get 500XP and two...um...items.
Now enter Pharod's Court. If you suggested an epic battle against dozens of
foes here, you will be disappointed, only an old man who has got another task
for you, bring something from the catacombs to him and he'll tell you more
about yourself. So proceed to the gate, demand entrance in the name of Pharod
and enter...
The Catacombs of Weeping Stone (Map):
In the main area you'll meet Glyve, one of that stone faces
at the walls. He wants a flask of water from Drowned Nations, 'Chad' will
know more of it. 'Gris' is inside a coffin in the Crypt of the Embraced, we'll
talk to him later. If you want to return to Marta in the Buried Village to
rest, offer coins to Barr, then grab his arm and threaten him that you'll
break his arm, you'll get inlimited access after that. Before entering one
of the areas that'll lead to the wanted items, I made my way back to the south-eastern
portion of the Hive to meet Amarysse and talk about Nodd. She'll give you
100 copper to be delivered to Nodd. If you can spare 500 copper, go to the
bar here and buy back your eyeball from Barkis, the barkeeper. Replace it
and get 1000XP as well as regaining some memories. After training at Porphiron
(if possible) head back for Nodd and give him the coins, 750XP. You might
wish to buy some cheap Blood Charms of Quint too before entering...
The Catacombs of Dead Nations (Map):
First talk to Soego, then to Hargrimm who wants you to slay
some rats here. There's a ghoul that got Uhir's knife, trade for some rat
tails. Kill the rats north-west here and return to Hargrimm for 3750XP. He
now wants to get rid of Soego, so talk to the doubting skeleton and return
to Soego who then leaves his chamber. Look at the journal inside the box there
(2000XP) and return to Hargrimm with that news to get another 3750XP. Return
to Soego's chamber and get his skull there. Talk to Hargrimm again to get
permission to leave the area and 7500XP. The door south-west is unlocked now.
Talk to Staly Mary, then to Hargrimm again who tells you to 'learn' to understand
the dead. Return to Mary and let her touch you, get 3750XP and the ability
to talk with the dead. Here's a puzzled skeleton thinking about a riddle and
a riddling skeleton that tells the riddle too. I still didn't figure out how
to solve that. Now return to Gris in the Crypt of the Embraced and talk to
him. Quint's charm is in the refuse left of Marta's house in Buried Village.
After returning it to Quint you'll get 7500XP. Another 5000XP for returning
Uhir's knife here. Then we want to visit the other area left, ...
The Warrens of Thought (Map):
Talk to Mantuok and get teleported. 3750XP for convincing the guards to let
you out. Many rats here, sometimes annoying because of that 'harddisk-caching'-bug
(or is it the KI that collapses?...*shrug*). Enter the Cranium Rat Collective
and talk to 'Many-As-One'. It wants to know the weaknesses of the Silent King.
Didn't found out anything about that yet, so I headed for...
The Drowned Nations (Map):
Here you get 850XP for each Trocopotaca. South-east
you'll discover the Bronze Sphere for Pharod. Empty the backpack of the Nameless
One and enter the Sealed Passageway south. Don't step onto the large signs
on the floor in the tomb there, except you looted the room and wish to proceed.
Only after death you'll reach the next chamber. Once in the middle, read all
inscriptions at the walls there to unlock the sarcophargus. Then go south
until you are teleported into the last chamber here. After opening the chest
you can enter the portal back to your party.
Head back for the catacombs of Weeping Stone and talk to the corpses there.
Chad south-west wants that you kill some vargouilles here for 3750XP and a
hint about the flask for Glyve. It is in the room with the arches in Drowned
Nations, look inside the arch nearest the back wall. Return the decanter to
Glyve in Weeping Stones to get 5000XP and the hint to seak out 'Nemelle' in
'Clerk's Ward'. You can talk to Bert north-west too, a friend of Gris. Return
to Buried Village and give the sphere to Pharod for 15000XP. Annah shows up
and joins the party. Talk to Pharod again about this place and get 500XP for
neither vow nor lie. Let Reekwind at the Marketplace tell you the story about
yourself and answer that a man better not knows his name for 1000XP. Now talk
to Sharegrave in Ragpicker's Square (750XP) and to Emoric in the Smoldering
Corpse Bar (2500XP). Talk to Drusilla here about Ignus. You need a command
word to invoke the power of the decanter to free Ignus. Now check for new
tattoos at Fell's and talk to Fell, let Dak'kon translate and research the
tattoos on the arm you found (750XP). Then head for the painted door, close
your eyes and enter...
The Tenement of Thugs (Map):
Talk to Sybil here and go upstairs to fetch the key. Sneak outside and get
1000XP from Sybil and find yourself in...
The Alley of Lingering Sighs (Map):
Enter the house south and examine the dead dabus. Keep focussing your vision
for 1000XP. Exit the area south-east and talk to that stone-face that wishes
the dabus to be removed from the alley. Talk to him and he'll leave to investigate
the dead dabus. Return to stone-face for 11500XP and another task. We'll undo
the repairs of the dabus at two buildings, one across the southern gate and
one north-west. After fixing return to stone-face and get 16250XP as well
as access to the...
Lower Ward (Map):
Talk to Korur, a fighter's trainer who tells you that 'Lothar' could have
Morte now. Talk to Sebastion who could do do something about a better condition
but wants you to kill Grosuk the abishai east of Siege Tower, we'll use magic
weapons for that. He tells that the 'Shadow-Sorcelled Key' can open all portals
of the Lower Ward, remember for 500XP. Visit the Pawn Shop to trade and buy
some cheese. Then enter the wrecked house south-east and go downstairs to
the...
Bones of the Night (Map):
Here we meet Lothar. He wants a greater skull in exchange for Morte, we shall
move aside the divan in the center of his room to get access to the catacombs
under from where we can portal back inside the catacombs of Weeping Stone.
Tell him that you've been there to get 30000XP. Then talk to the skulls in
the shelves. Stern tells of a damned book in the posession of Mantuok, the
wererat that serves 'Many-As-One' as well as 'Lothar'. Now we should descend
to the catacombs below, talk to Mantuok and take that portal south-east to
the Weeping Stone. Here exit to Buried Village and loot the remains of Pharod.
Equip his clutch and walk to the archway left of his throne. A portal appears
that leads to Pharod's Vault where you can loot some shelves and a table.
Return to Lothar and hand him the skull of Soego for 15000XP and the information
that once Ravel Puzzlewell, a night hag, stripped us from mortality. She's
been mazed by the Lady of Pain, we should visit Civic Festhall for more infos.
Now lets return to...
The Lower Ward again:
Buy some poisoned cheese from 'Giltspur' in front of the Marketplace. Enter
Marketplace and talk to Karina, listen to and like her for 2000XP. The storekeeper
Cinder tells the story of Zed who lended some coins from Byron Pikit ther
moneylender. Talk to Corvus about Karina for another 2000XP and ask about
Pikit then. he wishes that you return if you found evidence of Pikit's crimes.
Talk to Pikit himself then about his business for 2000XP and get the hint
to talk to Lenny. Talk to Xanthia who wishes three Thokolas dead for ruining
her dress. Warn that guys for 6000XP and talk to Xanthia again for further
2000XP. Talk to An'azi and let Dak'kon free her from torture. Talk to Trist
at the 'Block' who needs your help to research the lost proof of her innocence
(concerning the paid debt). Enter the Warehouse and get a bag of coins. Talk
to Scofflaw Penn inside the Print Shop too as well as to Lenny, mention that
Byron sent you and smile while asking for papers, ask why he's nervous if
the papers would be destroyed to get 1000XP. Grab him when he tries to vanish
and inquire carefully, Lenny wanted to betray Pikit for his crimes. Ask for
ther meaning of the 'bonus' for 4000XP more. Get the documents from Warehouse
and show the evidence to Corvus inside the Marketplace, 2000XP. 500XP for
talking to Karina again, then head back and talk to Deran, the 'slave-trader'
and givr him the proof for 4000XP. Then talk to Trist for another 4000XP.
Now visit the Coffin Maker and talk to Dimitree who wishes to be set free
from Sebastion. Talk to Hamrys to gain memories and 500XP and talk about the
tomb. It shall be in the Drowned Nations, the plans from Hamrys' father are
in the Warehouse. Before we return it's finally time to take care for Grosulk,
the Green Abishai that Sebastion wants dead. We could talk to Grosulk and
tell him the truth. He would kill Sebastion. Since we don't get XP for that,
we fight him for 8000XP and return to Sebastion then to get our 4000XP and
a Charisma +2 operation. Talk with him about Dimitree and read the book for
4000XP. Get the plans from the Warehouse and head back to the Coffin Maker
and touch Dimitree for another 4000XP. Now talk to Hamrys for 2000XP. Talk
to one of the guards behind the gates of the Great Foundry, you need a receipt
or urgent business to enter. Now I left the area south-east for...
The Clerk's Ward (Map):
First north you'll get a costume from the tailor for Malmaner in front of
the Tailor's Shop. Be patient and get it for 8000XP, then tell Malmaner that
there will be a lot Dustmen, then get another costume for 6000XP. Talk to
the mage in front of the Civic Festhall about Reekwind's curse, only a man
named Jumble Murdersense could undo the curse. Enter the Civic Festhall then,
talk to the guard here and let him tale you to the Public Sensorium. Talk
to the guides here to buy sensations. You'll get 1500XP for each extravagant
and 750XP for each standard. Return and talk to Jolmi, get killed for 2000
coins if you like. You can listen to some lectures here too. Talk to Jumble
and let him curse you. Return to Selabesh in front of the building and learn
a curse from him to curse Jumble yourself. Curse him and get 10000XP and another
for letting him undo Reekwind's curse. Speak with Qui-Sai, the statue. Be
patient and learn the 'Way of Stone' to improve your AC. Ask Sprinter in the
Foyer for Ravel, he tells you ti speak to Quell about her. Bluff him to get
access to the Private Sensorium. Escape the trap here for 500XP, another 6000XP
for talking to Ravel and 3x 2000XP for talking to Deioranna, all three through
that stones. Talk to Quell who wants a gift from you to be willing to tell
you something about Ravel. The door to Ravel's maze seems to be inside the
Great Foundry, a knowing man knows about the key (Quell?), and Deioranna left
a legacy in her father's keeping. Ask for the 6th, the 3rd, the Kay and the
'S'. Now enter the Dormitories and loot your old chamber there after you got
the key from the clerk.
Now go outside and talk to Elobrande east to get a suspicious sealed scroll.
Open that Decadohedron from your chamber now to reveal a tome not yet understandable.
Aelwyn here is looking for Nemelle too. Now enter the Curiosity Shoppe and
buy everything from front, back and middle. Read the 'Codex of the Inconceivable'
for 1000XP, open the 'Monster Jug', kill the monster and get 'Adder's Kiss'-scroll.
Return to Quell and give him the 'Chocolat Quasit' for 8000XP and the hint
that the key to Ravel's maze is something from her herself. Pestle Kilnn,
the apothecary, needs help. Talk to Finam the Linguist about the Dodedcahedron
and then talk to the spirit of his father inside the urn there to learn the
ancient language for 8000XP. Let the other memory come for further 4000XP.
Now read the tome of the Dodecahedron for 10000XP. Read all, there's a note
about that legacy Deioranna mentioned, '51-AA'. Visit the Art Shoppe and talk
to Yvana about Ravel. We could use the Gorgon Salve on the statue there, but
first we should find a proper hammer to break a piece out of it. Get 300XP
for recalling a memory at a picture nearby. Take a 'Dark Bird of Ocanthus'
by using your 'Frost-Ale-Mug'.
Visit Iannis, the advocate, amd talk about legacies, claim that one of a young
woman and tell the number you read before in the tome, 51-AA for 8000XP. Talk
to him about himself and his daughter Deionarra and tell him if you remeber
what happened to Deionarra. Talk to someone in Civic Festhall about letting
him visit the sensory stone of her. Talk to Nemelle west and tell her of her
friend waiting, get a kiss worth 8000XP and incresing MaxHP. Get 10000XP here
by sending the Drunken Mage to 'Unfulfilled Desire'. Now return to Aelwyn
and listen to her. Talk to Nemelle again and get the word for the decanter:
'Nildenosaj' as well as another 8000XP + MaxHP increase.
Now enter the brothel and talk to 'Fall-from-Grace' about Ravel. She'll join
the party if we talked to the ten students here. A drawer here holds Finam's
book. Get some fake love letters from Scofflaw Penn and deliver them to Montague
in the Civic Festhall for Juliette. Help Vivian to get her scent back. Give
Nenny a lesson for 500XP and look for the crimson veil of Marissa. Tell Yves
your tales, each worth 500XP. Ask for Dolora's first love, Merriman, in the
Civic Festhall to release her heart. Reach the Brothel Cellar through a secret
panel in the northern room. Talk to 'Fall-from-Grace' again and she'll join
if you already talked to nine students.
Now let's complete the party by using the decanter on Ignus in the Smoldering
Corpse Bar for 5000XP, talk to Drusilla...*evil grin*...and head for the Lower
Ward again to get those love letters from Print Shop. Now we can enter the
Great Foundry by showing the receipt to one of the guards at the gate. Talk
to Nadilin south-west to get an item and 40000XP, also buy tools to forge
here as well as some ore from Thildon. Talk to Keldor in Godsman Hall to perform
a test. First you'll have to forge something for 8000XP, then you'll investigate
a crime, ask Alissa about it. Talk to Nihl Xander east in the Hall about the
Dreambuilder, you need some of your flesh and blood in a bottle. Talk to Bedai-Lihn
upstairs and to Saros in the Hall to get Thildon's Awl as proof for Keldor
and 10000XP then. Now convince Sandoz not to commit suicide by first talking
to him carefully and then talking to his daughter Sarossa. Return to Sandoz
and tell him what Sarossa said. Return to Keldor to claim your 12000XP for
that.
You could visit Karina at the Marketplace to get 500XP again. Return to Civic
Festhall and talk to the guard again about a permission for Iannis to see
that sensory stone of Deionarra. Talk to Montague and tell him the truth for
5000XP, another 5000XP for supporting Morte's suggestion. Talk to Merriman
and give him the mug for 12000XP and the keys. Return to the Brothel and talk
to Juliette, tell her that Montague is bored for 10000XP. Give the keys to
Dolora for 30000XP and talk to her about Ecco who needs a new voice. Talk
to Luis, the cabinet, again and get that Crimson Cloth from him, then talk
to Vivian to get 25000XP and Charisma +1. Talk to Marissa, give her the veil
for 25000XP. Now go to the Art Shoppe and break a piece from the statue with
that Forge Hammer. Visit the Apothecary and give 'them' the Elixir of Horrific
Separation' for 6000XP, then talk to Pestle and give blood for that needed
bottle. Visit the advocat again and tell him of his permission to enter the
private sensorium for 8000XP. Return to Nihl in the Great Foundry Hall, give
him the bottle, now you need a birdcage out of Siege Tower. Following the
quest in my journal and to see what's behind that doors, I joined the Godsman
then for 8000XP. You'll get a token to access the armory where Godsman are
crafting a kind of secret cannon. Nothing important here until now, so you
might wait if you don't like to join them. You can trade with Keldor then
who got some special weapons and a nice spell, but it should be the same with
the other fractions.
I now killed Mantuok (missed to give him poisoned cheese before) and took
his evil book, the 'Grimoire of Pestilential Thought'. If you give blood,
the book drops a 'Blindness'-spell. If you sell a companion into slavery at
Vrischika in the Curiosity Shop, you'll get 'Adder's Kiss'. If you finally
slay a companion, you'll get 'Power Word, Kill' and the book remains silent.
If you talk to Vrischika you'll learn more about 'Fall-from-Grace' who has
always been a Baatezu-slave. You could talk to Reekwind again at the Hive's
marketplace to get 5000XP for freeing him from the curse. Talk to Able Clerk's
Ward west and let him research Raven and yourself. I explored UnderSigil then,
but except some stuff in the north, a sealed gate and some monsters there
was nothing of interest. I admit, I'm a bit stuck now, next I'll talk to Able
again and try to find a way to enter Siege Tower.
After visiting Able who didn''t tell anything about the research I clueless
visited the Mortuary again (talk to a Dustman Guard). I spoke to Deionarra
again for 1000XP and the special ability of raising dead (party members).
I talked to Dhall for 250XP for information about someone disguised as a zombie.
Then I purchased 'Moridor's Ruby' from Aola in the Ruined Cathedral in the
Alley of Dangerous Angles. When I tried to leave the area south-west, I was
mazed by the Lady of Pain. North-west in that maze you'll
find a journal and a sledgehammer. Now enter the portal named 'P1' on the
map, and return there without
entering another portal. Then step into the blue portal there to reach 'P2'
where you can enter the portal to your friends again. Could be this differs
from game to game, before entering that 'P1', I tried the two portals above.
Perhaps it's not always 'P1' but the third portal you're walking through.
On my search I talked to Mebbeth in the Midwife's Hut Ragpicker's Square again
and accepted her tasks to be able to become a sorcerer. First get herbs from
the Hive-market for 500XP, then talk to 'Mourns-for-Trees' about seed for
500XP. While you are here, check the tatto-parlor again and talk to Fell,
let other members translate to learn more. Then return to Mebbeth for 500XP,
do what she says for another 750XP and get the rags from 'Giscorl' at the
market for 500XP. Back to Mebbeth for 500XP, then get ink from Kossah-Jai
at the market who sends you to Meir'am south-east from there. Talk to here,
get a tankard from the cup-selling merchant and finally get the ink from Meir'am
and return to Mebbeth for 1000XP. Now you could become a mage if you like.
I have been stuck at this point for the first time, but fortunately I found
The Pit, from
where I gathered the following informations:
Go to Lower Ward Marketplace and talk to Lazlo again about the Lady of Pain
for 500XP and about the tower. Then step onto the drawbridge right of Siege
Tower to let a portal appear. Walk inside and talk to Coaxmetal and get 10000XP
for letting him forge a weapon that could kill yourself. Then get that birdcage
from him and buy weapons if you can afford it. Bring the cage to Nihl in Foundry
Hall and get a pillow from the Coffin Maker then, who granted 2000XP for dealing
with the situation in the Warehouse where we go now to fetch the pillow. Return
to Hamrys for another 2000XP, then head back for Nihl to get 15000XP for taking
the key. Now go to that door left in the Foundry, open and dream. Before we
complete the key to Ravel's Maze, we'll do some plots I oversaw as well.
Let Annah pickpocket Nadilin, the clerk south-west in the Foundry to get a
second receipe (save before trying). Trade it for a cool mace, the 'Justifier'.
Talk to the mace. Fight the thugs in front of the Linguist's House in Clerk's
Ward to get the head of Mertwyn. Bring it back to him inside the Civic Festhall
for 8000XP. If you like, put the Gorgon Salve on the statue in the Art Museum
for 4000XP and another death. Talk to Ecco in the Brothel and give her the
Fiend's Tongue and Deva's Tear to let her speak again for 30000XP. Talk to
her again to get the info that Kesai is Ravel's daughter. Talk to Kesai who
won't talk about her mother. Talk to Juliette who sends you to Kimasxi, the
half-sister of Kesai. Talk with her and again to Kesai about her mother and
finally get some blood from her for 4000XP. Now we should talk to Eli Havelok
standing south-east of the Brothel about Qui-Sai for 250XP, return to Qui-Sai,
then ask for the mage's trainer in the training hall. Then talk to Lady Thorncombe
in the Public Sensorium. Talk to her twice, if needed, the second time about
Qui-Sai for 250XP. Perhaps you are able to talk about her work or Onyx, then
you can return to Onyx in front of the building and again to her to get XP,
I don't know because she refused to talk to me again after the advice. So
I returned to Qui-Sai for 10000XP and let him train me inside the fighter's
training hall.
Except three quests all is done now, I still am clueless about that 'Weakness
of the Silent King'-quest, there must be something else than just slaying
all the undead there, and I will not sell a comrade into slavery (until I
found a proper replacement *eg*). The third quest to find Ravel will be started
now by unfolding the portal and entering...
Ravel's Maze (Map):
Here you'll encounter some Trigits and there are two portals
north-west and north-east of the maze. In the middle you'll meet Ravel in
her garden. Talk to her for 90000XP, as final answer I chose "Nothing
can change the nature of a man.". I didn't try other answers, but I suggest
that any answer of the Nameless One is okay, mail
me if I'm wrong. When you talk about the Lady of Pain, say that you would
have left her in her cage for 90000XP. She tells you that your mortality still
is intact, but you have to find a kind of angel who might tell you more about
the whereabouts "...find the golden link in the ever-shortening chain...".
You'll get 180000XP after that. Talk about her shapes and let Ei-Vene work
for increased MaxHP. You can learn some of her (Ravel not Mebbeth) magical
knowledge for 60000XP too. After the first saying goodbye listen to her boon
for 90000XP and increased wisdom. Then you'll have to fight her to be able
to leave. I'm kind of stuck now, because when the fight is on, the game freezes
more and more until it's so slow that I have to quit and reload. Annoying
bug here after that long talk, but I'll try other answers, perhaps there's
a way to avoid that fight or I finally manage to kill all in time.
